New Day Storytelling Advocates believes in fostering powerful advocacy stories that come from real-life inspiration and the work of creative changemakers like yourselves. One way in which we can help foster these generative narratives is to support, facilitate, and curate experiences that inspire an authentic community of collaborative youth advocacy. By co-designing virtual, domestic, and international youth storytelling advocacy endeavors in tandem with partners around the world, we can write inspiring narratives that foster positive social and environmental change.
Great stories in and of themselves are transcendent gifts that continue to awe long after you’ve turned the last page. And in the spirit of capturing great stories, New Day Storytellers strive to sew seeds in our imaginative hearts so that we too, might exponentially grow our capacity to empathize, humanize, dignify, perhaps even redeem pieces of our planet and its beautiful people.
Whose to say that a documentary, poem, photographic essay, graphic narrative, speech, short story, play, original musical score, animation, etc., can’t create a ripple effect that changes the trajectory of a young person’s life?
Even though we are each capable of these organic storytelling feats, when we come together, a special collective synergy occurs. Similar to being in an inspiring class setting, shared enlightened experiences can forge new and unparalleled pathways toward understanding, appreciation, creativity, and collaborative action.
